Aamir Khan Comeback with 90 Crore Film – Real Hit or Hype?

Aamir Khan Comeback with 90 Crore Film – Real Hit or Hype?

So boss, on one hand, people are celebrating — Aamir Khan has made a comeback after a thousand days. But better late than never. The box office is slowly catching fire.

On the other hand, many people are complaining — tickets are being sold, but theatres are empty.

So where is the collection coming from?

What’s actually going on with Aamir Khan’s stars?

Aamir Khan's new movie Sitaare Zameen Par gets mixed audience reaction and breaks box office records

Was the public fooled?

Or is doubting Aamir the real mistake?

Let me clear all these questions.

Look, when a film from an actor like Aamir Khan comes out, the public automatically gets divided into two sides.

That’s exactly why actors like him are called such big stars.

What I’ve noticed is that many people are judging "Sitaare Zameen Par" in a very biased way and are also influencing others to think the same.

You might’ve noticed — even the biggest critics and film experts haven’t used the word remake while talking about this film anywhere.

But if you actually watch the original Spanish movie, you’ll understand that Aamir Khan’s film has been copied scene to scene.

From actors’ looks to dialogues — even the climax is the same.

It really makes you think — why did it take 3 years to make this film if everything had to be copied?

On the other hand, many are trying hard to troll the film —

“It’s boring,”

“There’s no comedy,”

“I couldn’t even tolerate 30 minutes,”

“It’s like the rebirth of Laal Singh Chaddha,” etc. etc.

Some even started boycotting straight up.

And those same people were probably caught quietly watching the movie with their families after booking tickets.

The truth is — the movie is good, not bad.

But it’s not something very special or extraordinary either.

The biggest strength of the movie is the stars in it.

And in my opinion, Aamir himself is the weakest part of the film.

Now whether the movie is good or bad —

it’s very hard to tell in today’s age of social media,

because that’s exactly why PR exists.

But keeping all that aside, the real question is —

about the film’s collection.

But before that, let’s understand —

why has it become such a big deal for an Aamir Khan film to earn money?

Here’s the point —

On day one, the film did 10 crore business.

Day two is going to double that.

But the real game is hidden in the third day’s business.

Because the film’s advance booking is being said to be more than Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 2. Believe it or not —

Drishyam 2 was a huge sequel with massive following.

It earned 27 crores on day three.

But Sitaare Zameen Par is expected to earn at least 30 or 35 crores on the third day.

Because right now, more than 300 tickets are being booked online every hour.

Now some people are saying —

the Drishyam 2 makers were fools?

They could’ve easily shown 35 or 40 crores by doing corporate booking from their own pockets.

And that’s where this term “corporate booking” has become so common that people don’t even know what it really means.

They just throw allegations.

In simple words —

when a film or filmmaker ties up with a brand or business and gets their tickets bulk-booked,

that ticket money gets added to the film’s collection.

But when those tickets were sold,

how many were actually watched,

who watched them —

those questions disappear.

This is called corporate booking.

So, write this down —

The bookings of Aamir Khan’s film are not fake.

They’re not totally fake.

But whether the money is really coming from the public or not —

there’s no guarantee.

This year already, many big films have been accused of this.

Big experts have taken names and exposed them.

Even Alia Bhatt was targeted by producers from her own industry,

with photo proof.

When even Alia couldn’t escape,

we ordinary people can be fooled very easily.

But you know when the truth will come out?

When Sitaare Zameen Par’s lifetime business starts increasing slowly.

It has already beaten Drishyam 2 on the third day.

But that movie earned 350 crores in total.

Can Aamir’s film cross that and reach 400 crores?

It should — because the numbers say so.

On top of that, people who are already calling this the “Best Film of the Year”,

those samosa lovers have already declared it a blockbuster.

By the way, the budget of this movie is 90 crores.

And to be a hit, it needs to earn at least 180 crores.

Out of that, in just 3 days, it’s expected to earn 80 worldwide.

But when will the remaining 100 crores come?

That depends on Monday’s numbers.

You saw how Housefull had such a massive start,

but even after 16 days, it’s only touched 200 crores in India.

If 8, 9, 10, or 11 crores come before next Friday,

then Saturday-Sunday will again cross 20 crores.

And Aamir Khan’s comeback will hit 200 crores and be a double century.

But will that hit be only on paper?

Or will it be a hit because of the public’s love?

Only one person knows the answer.

And I think we shouldn’t stress too much about this.

Because —

what you sow, so shall you reap.

The movie is well-made.

You should definitely watch it with your family.

You might not get such a clean family film again in Hindi cinema in 2025.

So don’t miss it.

But yes,

if you didn’t like it,

or if the scene-to-scene remake part bothered you —

the comment section is open.

Come, let’s discuss.
